The Karnataka Examinations Authority has released the official KCET results, marking a major milestone for over 2.9 lakh eligible candidates vying for professional course admissions.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) officially declared the results for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 today, June 6. State Medical Education and Skill Development Minister Sharan Prakash Patil announced the outcomes at the KEA office, setting the stage for the upcoming counselling process. Tanisha Karthik, a student at RV PU College, Jayanagar, Bengaluru, has emerged as the state topper in the engineering stream. Her achievement leads a list of high-performing students, including Srajan B.S. and Ninaad Vasisht, who also secured top positions. The merit list reflects a competitive landscape, with top rank holders hailing from diverse educational hubs including Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Davanagere, and Dharwad.

Participation and Eligibility Statistics

This year’s examination witnessed significant participation, with 3,09,014 candidates appearing for the tests conducted between April 22 and April 24 across 745 centers. Following the evaluation process, 2,92,782 candidates were declared eligible for various professional courses. The engineering stream saw the highest engagement, with 2,82,603 candidates qualifying, while other streams—including B.Pharm, B.V.Sc, and B.Sc. Nursing—also saw substantial numbers of eligible students.

The KEA confirmed that the evaluation process included the application of grace marks in Physics and Chemistry for eligible students, a move aimed at ensuring fairness in the final scoring. Subject-wise turnout was robust, with Physics and Chemistry recording over 3 lakh attendees each, while Mathematics and Biology saw 3,02,384 and 2,31,023 candidates respectively.

How to Access Results

Candidates can now check their individual results on the official KEA website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. To download the scorecard, students are required to log in using their application number and password. The scorecard provides a comprehensive overview of a candidate’s performance, including subject-wise marks, total score, and final rank.

For those successful in the examination, the next step involves the central counselling process, which is expected to commence in the second week of June. With the release of these kcet results, focus now shifts to the seat allotment phase. Experts advise students to keep their documents ready, as admission into top-tier institutions like RV College of Engineering and BMS College of Engineering will be highly competitive, often requiring top-percentile ranks for high-demand branches like Computer Science and Engineering.
