While the university previously managed a primary window for general ODL and online learners that concluded in April, a fresh registration cycle is now active specifically to accommodate e-VidyaBharti students and those needing to finalize project reports or practical examination submissions.

Important Deadlines and Portal Access

Eligible students must complete their registration through the official IGNOU Samarth portal. The university has stressed that June 15, 2026, serves as the final deadline for these submissions. Unlike the earlier phase, which allowed for late fee payments, this current window is critical for candidates to finalize their status without further extensions. Officials have reiterated that once an examination form is submitted, requests for changes—such as shifting the exam center or altering the chosen course subjects—will not be entertained.

Guidelines for Examination Modes

The June 2026 term-end examination cycle incorporates both pen-and-paper and computer-based test (CBT) formats. For students enrolled in the e-VidyaBharti programme, the university has scheduled exams to be conducted in a remote-proctored mode between June 22 and July 17, 2026. Students are urged to carefully verify their programme validity and ensure all mandatory assignments have been submitted to the respective regional centers before filling out the form.

Mandatory Requirements and Fee Structure

A significant change for this session is the requirement for an Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID. IGNOU has advised all learners to generate this ID via the official portal, warning that failure to do so could result in delays in the declaration of results or complications in the reflection of marks within the DigiLocker system.

The examination fee remains structured based on the student's admission cycle. For those enrolled from January 2023 onwards, the fee is set at Rs 200 per theory course, while practical and project work fees range from Rs 300 to Rs 500 depending on the credit load. Candidates are reminded that these fees are non-refundable, and they should cross-check their December 2025 results before opting to pay for any backlog papers.

Support and Coordination

For students pursuing lab-based or practical-intensive courses, such as the BLIS programme, the university advises direct communication with their designated regional centers. Because regional centers hold the final authority on venues and specific scheduling for practicals, students should not rely solely on the general university website for these localized details. As the examination dates approach, the university is expected to release hall tickets roughly one week prior to the start of the exams, which will be accessible through the same Samarth student portal used for registration.
