The social media activist is set to arrive in the national capital to demand accountability for recent examination controversies.

Abhijeet Dipke, the creator of the satirical digital platform Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has officially departed from the United States, signaling his return to India to spearhead a demonstration in the capital. The founder is set to land in Delhi on Saturday morning, June 6, with the stated objective of seeking official authorization for a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar.

Seeking Accountability for Students

The primary catalyst for the upcoming protest is the ongoing frustration surrounding the NEET paper leak, alongside broader concerns regarding the integrity of other major examinations, including those conducted by CBSE, CUET, and the SSC GD. Dipke has argued that these systematic failures have jeopardized the futures of over one crore students, leaving many in a state of deep anxiety. Through this movement, he is demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, citing a critical lack of government accountability.

Navigating Legal and Security Concerns

This will be Dipke’s first visit to the country since his social media outfit gained prominence. His return comes amid a backdrop of legal challenges, including a recent attempt to have the CJP’s X account restored following a government-mandated block prompted by national security inputs. While Dipke has expressed concern regarding threats directed at his family, he maintains that he is committed to exercising his constitutional rights.

Addressing the possibility of legal repercussions upon his arrival, the activist remains firm in his approach. "I am leaving my fate in the hands of the Constitution," Dipke shared in a recent post. He has reached out to his supporters to join him at the airport, from where he intends to proceed directly to the Parliament Street police station to formally petition for permission to hold his demonstration.

A Movement Born from Satire

The Cockroach Janta Party initially captured public attention in May as a satirical response to judicial commentary. Since then, it has evolved into a significant youth-driven platform, effectively aggregating the frustrations of students across the country. With claims of over eight lakh signatures on a related petition, Dipke hopes that a collective physical presence will force authorities to address the grievances of the student community, insisting that the time for organized, constitutional action has arrived.
