Karnataka KCET 2026 Results: KEA to Declare Scores Today at 2 PM

Over 3.1 lakh students are set to receive their Karnataka KCET results today, marking a crucial step toward admissions for undergraduate professional courses.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is scheduled to announce the results for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 today, June 6. Dr. Sharan Prakash Patil, the KEA Co-President, will address a press conference at 12:00 PM to officially unveil the details. Following this, the long-awaited portal will go live, and students will be able to check their results and download their scorecards starting at 2:00 PM.

Accessing Your Scorecard

Candidates who appeared for the entrance exam, held between April 22 and April 24, can access their performance metrics via the official websites, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in and keaonline.karnataka.gov.in. To download their rank card, students will need to navigate to the "UGCET Result 2026" tab and log in using their application number and the first four characters of their name. Given the high volume of traffic expected, authorities have advised students to remain patient should the portals experience brief lags during peak hours.

Context Behind the Timeline

The path to this result announcement has been a rigorous one for both the students and the KEA. While the entrance test was completed in April, the final processing period was extended to include the results of the practical examinations for agricultural and veterinary courses, which concluded on June 1. This necessary integration of theory and practical marks has ensured a comprehensive and fair merit ranking for the roughly 3.3 lakh applicants who registered for the exam. The final answer keys were already released on May 10, following a transparent window for students to raise objections regarding the provisional keys.

A Gateway to Professional Admissions

The KCET results serve as the primary gateway for admission into diverse undergraduate professional programs across Karnataka, including engineering, B.Pharm, and agricultural sciences. Once the results are published, the KEA will initiate the online counseling process. This procedure will involve document verification, option entry, and a multi-round seat allotment system. Candidates are encouraged to download their scorecards promptly, as these documents will be essential for the upcoming registration and college selection phases.

Independent Admission Strategy

Amidst the broader educational landscape, the KEA, supported by Higher Education Minister Dr. MC Sudhakar, has confirmed that the state will proceed with non-medical admissions independently. By opting not to wait for the delayed results from other national-level entrance tests, Karnataka aims to maintain an efficient academic calendar for its engineering and professional institutions, ensuring that students can secure their seats without further scheduling uncertainty.
