Karnataka KCET 2026: Official Result Date Announced for June 6

Over 3.1 lakh candidates are set to access their Karnataka KCET results and rank cards as the KEA prepares to activate download links.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is set to end the anxious wait for thousands of aspirants as it prepares to announce the Karnataka KCET 2026 results on June 6. The declaration follows a rigorous examination cycle conducted between April 22 and April 24, which serves as the primary gateway for admission into professional undergraduate programs, including engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture.

Press Conference and Access Details

Dr. Sharan Prakash Patil, the KEA Co-President, is scheduled to host a formal press conference at 12 noon on the day of the release to outline the key statistics and performance trends of the exam. Following this briefing, the official results portal will go live at 2 pm. Students will be able to check their individual scorecards by visiting the official websites at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in or keaonline.karnataka.gov.in.

To retrieve their results, candidates will need to provide specific login credentials, typically including their application number combined with the first four characters of their name. The authority has confirmed that the merit list will be published simultaneously, providing a clear indication of candidate rankings which are crucial for the subsequent seat allocation process.

Exam Statistics and Counselling Process

This year’s examination saw a significant turnout, with approximately 3,30,479 candidates initially registering for the entrance test. Data indicates that around 3.1 lakh students eventually appeared for the papers across 745 examination centres throughout the state. Having already navigated the provisional answer key phase in late April and the subsequent final key release on May 10, candidates are now entering the final stage of the admissions timeline.

The KEA has emphasized that the upcoming counselling process will be conducted entirely online. Once the results are declared, the authority will move forward with registration, document verification, and the choice-filling phase. According to Higher Education Minister Dr. MC Sudhakar, the state has decided to proceed with admissions for engineering and other non-medical professional courses independently, ensuring that the academic calendar remains on track without awaiting the delayed NEET UG results.

Navigating the Counselling Phase

For those preparing for the next steps, the counselling procedure is designed to be streamlined. After registration and mandatory document verification, candidates will be invited to participate in a mock allotment round, followed by the final seat allotment. It is vital for aspirants to carefully review their rank and category details on the scorecard, as these will dictate their eligibility for various institutions. The state's decision to move ahead autonomously highlights a commitment to maintaining a steady transition for students into the 2026-27 academic session, despite external delays affecting the broader national medical entrance landscape.
