The Central Selection Board of Constables has officially commenced the release of e-admit cards for the upcoming written examinations scheduled for June 2026, marking a critical step for thousands of aspirants seeking state-level police roles.

The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC) has activated the download portal for the Bihar police recruitment written exam, covering 4,236 vacancies across various posts including Prohibition Constable, Jail Warder, and Transport Department Constable (Chalant Dasta Sipahi). With the examination dates set for June 14 and June 17, 2026, the board has transitioned to a staggered release schedule for hall tickets to streamline the digital access process for candidates across 38 revenue districts.

Download Schedule and Procedures

Candidates can now check the hall ticket link and exam details by visiting the official portal at csbc.bihar.gov.in. The board has clarified that the CSBC Bihar Constable admit card is released in two phases, corresponding to the specific exam dates. For the June 14 examination, the download window opened at midnight on June 8. For those appearing in the second leg of the test on June 17, the admit cards will be available starting June 11.

To download the document, applicants must provide their registration number or application ID, along with their date of birth and registered mobile number. Once the credentials are authenticated, the admit card PDF—which contains essential information such as the candidate’s roll number, designated exam centre, and shift timings—will be displayed. It is highly recommended that candidates download and print multiple copies immediately to avoid last-minute technical glitches on the official website.

Exam Logistics and Strict Guidelines

The examinations are conducted in two shifts daily: a morning session from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and an afternoon session from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The CSBC has enforced a strict reporting policy; candidates must arrive at their respective centres by 9:00 AM for the morning shift and 2:00 PM for the afternoon shift. Gates will be locked precisely one hour before the commencement of the paper, and no late entries will be permitted under any circumstances.

Beyond the e-admit card, candidates must carry a valid photo identification proof, such as an Aadhaar card, PAN card, driving licence, or voter ID. In cases where the photograph on the hall ticket is blurred or missing, a gazetted officer-attested photograph, along with a completed Annexure-A declaration form, is mandatory. The board has explicitly warned that any use of electronic devices—including smartwatches, Bluetooth gadgets, or mobile phones—is strictly prohibited and will invite severe legal action under the Bihar Public Examination (Unfair Means Prevention) Act, 2024.

Why This Recruitment Matters

This recruitment drive, notified under Advt. No. 03/2025, represents a significant push to bolster the state's law enforcement and correctional facilities. By consolidating the selection process under a centralized roster system, the Bihar government aims to ensure merit-based hiring for these essential roles. As candidates prepare for the June testing window, they are reminded that no physical copies of the admit cards will be dispatched via post, making the digital portal the sole source for exam-day documentation.
