The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially moved to protect its digital infrastructure, filing a formal complaint with the Intelligence Fusion & Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit of the Delhi Police. This action comes after the board’s post-result services portal, launched on June 2, 2026, was hit by a series of sophisticated, coordinated cyber attacks over a three-day span. The portal serves as a critical interface for Class 12 students seeking verification and re-evaluation of their answer scripts.

A Multi-Front Defense Strategy

According to the board, the attackers deployed large volumes of malicious traffic from both domestic and international IP addresses. The intent, according to official statements, appeared to be the destabilization of the platform and the potential unauthorized extraction of sensitive data. To counter this, the board mobilized a high-level technical coalition, including cybersecurity experts from IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, the Digital India Corporation, CERT-In, and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C).

The board emphasized that continuous 24x7 monitoring successfully mitigated the impact of the attacks, ensuring that no data breaches or unauthorized access occurred.
