BJP’s Nitin Nabin warns against 'negative politics' as youth discourse heats up
Some forces trying to push country’s youths towards ‘negative politics’: BJP chief Nitin Nabin

Addressing intellectuals in Ranchi, the BJP president slammed foreign-based critics for allegedly attempting to radicalize Indian youth against the establishment.
Speaking in Ranchi during a two-day organisational visit to Jharkhand, BJP president Nitin Nabin launched a pointed critique against what he termed "negative politics" orchestrated by forces operating from abroad. Nabin, in an apparent reference to Abhijeet Dipke and the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), warned that India’s younger generation is focused on nation-building rather than the anti-establishment agitation currently being stoked by certain factions.
The BJP leader emphasized that while the right to dissent is protected within democratic norms, there is a clear distinction between constructive opposition and attempts to turn the country’s youth into "puppets." Nabin drew parallels to recent civil unrest observed in neighboring countries, asserting that such disruptive paths are incompatible with the aspirations of Indian citizens who are instead contributing to a disciplined, innovation-led growth trajectory.
A Vision for 'Viksit Bharat'
Nabin pivoted from political sparring to outline the government's developmental milestones under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, framing the current administration’s efforts as essential to achieving the 'Viksit Bharat 2047' vision. Highlighting the scale of the government’s reach, he noted that over 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty, while 80 crore citizens continue to benefit from free food rations.
Economic inclusivity remains a central pillar of this narrative, with Nabin citing the creation of 54 crore Jan Dhan accounts as a benchmark for financial empowerment. He also highlighted tangible infrastructure and social welfare achievements, including the construction of 12 crore toilets, the provision of four crore houses via the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and the distribution of 10 crore LPG connections under the Ujjwala scheme.
Innovation and Future Growth
Beyond social welfare, the BJP chief underscored India’s rapid evolution into a global technological player. He pointed to the emergence of nearly two lakh startups as evidence of the youth’s dedication and hard work, expressing confidence that the nation is on a trajectory to become a global hub for both artificial intelligence and manufacturing.
This rhetoric arrives as the CJP and other opposition groups ramp up pressure, with the CJP recently threatening nationwide protests linked to cabinet-level resignations. As political temperatures rise ahead of upcoming electoral cycles, the BJP is positioning its record of women’s empowerment—including a committed 33% reservation policy and the advancement of three lakh ‘Lakhpati Didis’—as a direct contrast to the strategies of its political rivals.
