The BJP leader cautioned that the country's younger generation will reject negative politics and refuses to be puppets of external influences.

In a pointed address to intellectuals in Ranchi this Saturday, BJP leader Nitin Nabin launched a sharp, veiled attack against the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and its founder, Abhijeet Dipke. The remarks, coming just ahead of the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in Jharkhand, centered on the influence of foreign-based actors on domestic affairs. Nabin asserted that "people sitting abroad cannot direct India’s youth," warning that the country’s younger generation will not "be puppets" for those attempting to steer them toward anti-establishment agendas from afar.

Navigating the Paper Leak Controversy

The political friction follows a period of heightened activity from the CJP, which has been vocal in its protests regarding the alleged paper leak controversy involving Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. While acknowledging that citizens possess the democratic right to dissent, Nabin emphasized that such opposition must remain within established constitutional norms. He argued that the current agitation is an attempt by specific forces to manufacture resentment against the government, a move he claims will ultimately fail.

Choosing Nation-Building Over ‘Negative Politics’

Nabin framed the choice facing the Indian electorate as a binary between "positive politics" and what he termed "negative politics." He alleged that there is a concerted effort to push young Indians toward the latter, cautioning those orchestrating these campaigns that their strategies are misaligned with the priorities of the youth. "Today’s youths want to work towards nation-building and secure their future," Nabin stated, highlighting that the Modi government’s development achievements and welfare initiatives remain the primary focus for the demographic.

Drawing Regional Comparisons

Seeking to differentiate the Indian political landscape from the volatility seen in neighbouring countries, the BJP leader underscored the disciplined nature of India’s youth. He warned against importing foreign-style anti-establishment campaigns, suggesting that such tactics are incompatible with India's democratic trajectory. By positioning the CJP’s outreach as an external imposition, the BJP is clearly signaling its intent to frame the upcoming electoral battles in Jharkhand as a referendum on national stability versus perceived external interference.
