CUET UG 2026: When Will the NTA Release the Scorecards?

As lakhs of students await the final results, the National Testing Agency prepares to process thousands of objections before declaring the CUET UG 2026 outcome.

The digital corridors of the National Testing Agency (NTA) are buzzing, but for the lakhs of students who sat for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) this year, the silence from the regulator is deafening. With the exam cycle for CUET UG 2026 concluding on June 7 following technical and administrative rescheduling, the primary question echoing across student forums remains: cuet ka result kab aayega? While anxiety is mounting, the process of finalizing scores is currently in its concluding stages.

The NTA conducted the Computer-Based Test (CBT) across a wide window, starting May 11 and wrapping up in early June. Following the release of the provisional answer key on June 9, candidates were given until June 11 to raise challenges. That window has now shut, and the agency is currently reviewing these submissions to ensure the integrity of the final scorecard. Based on historical patterns and the current processing timeline, the final answer key and the subsequent scorecard download are expected to be available between June 25 and June 30.

Tracking the Official Timeline

Students should remain cautious of third-party speculation. The only reliable source for the official result is the NTA’s portal, cuet.nta.nic.in. The agency typically requires a 25 to 30-day buffer post-examination to normalize scores and verify data. Since the last of the rescheduled papers concluded on June 7, a late-June or early-July declaration aligns with standard operational procedures. Once released, candidates will be able to access their percentile scores using their application number and date of birth.

Why it Matters: The Bigger Picture

The significance of this result extends far beyond a simple scorecard. For the vast majority of central universities, the CUET UG 2026 result is the sole gateway to undergraduate admissions. With institutions like Delhi University’s CSAS portal and various other state and central universities waiting to align their counseling schedules with these results, any delay creates a domino effect on the academic calendar. This year’s cycle, marked by technical reshuffles, underscores the logistical challenge of managing a nationwide entrance exam of this magnitude. For the student, this is not just about a final score; it is the final hurdle in a high-stakes transition to higher education.

Staying Alert

As the final week of June approaches, students are advised to keep their login credentials ready and monitor the official website. While various platforms like Shiksha and other career portals provide regular updates and trend analyses, the NTA remains the only authority empowered to release the official merit list and qualifying status. Avoid clicking on unverified links promising "direct access" to results, as these are often unreliable during the peak result-declaration window.
