CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation Deadline: Final Call for Students Before June 6 Portal Shutdown
CBSE Class 12 Re-Evaluation 2026: One day left to apply for CBSE 12th scanned answer books verification and Re-evaluation at cbse.gov.in; Step-by-Step guide

Candidates have just one day left to file requests for marks verification and answer sheet re-evaluation as the board enforces a strict digital-only policy.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a final reminder to candidates regarding the Class 12 result review process. With the June 5 date marking the penultimate opportunity to act, the board has confirmed that the window for submitting applications will officially close at midnight on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Officials emphasized that no requests will be entertained after this deadline, and no offline submissions will be accepted.
Understanding the Verification and Re-evaluation Process
For students who believe there were technical errors in their results, the board provides a two-fold digital system. The verification process, which costs Rs 100 per answer book, is designed to address logistical discrepancies. This includes reports of missing supplementary sheets, blurred pages, un-scanned maps or graphs, or instances where a student’s answer book was matched against the incorrect question paper set.
Separate from this, the re-evaluation of specific questions is available at a rate of Rs 25 per question. The board has clarified that the entire workflow, from filing the request to the final transaction, must be completed through their official online portal. To access the system, students are required to log in using their Aadhaar number.
Payment Guidelines and Strategy
A critical aspect of the application process is the payment structure. The board has integrated multiple gateways, including the State Bank of India, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda, and Indian Bank. Notably, students are not required to hold an account with these specific institutions to finalize their payment, as the board has ensured the payment process remains accessible to all.
The board issued a stern advisory regarding the submission of these forms: students are permitted to submit only one application for verification and one for re-evaluation. Because the details are locked immediately upon clicking the "Freeze and Proceed to payment" button, candidates are urged to meticulously review their selections. The board advises that students decide in advance which subjects and specific questions they wish to challenge to ensure all intended requests are included in a single, final submission.
Final Steps for Applicants
As the June 6 deadline approaches, the board reiterated that an application is only considered valid once the digital payment has been successfully processed. Any attempt to modify the application after the "Freeze" button has been clicked will not be possible. Therefore, candidates should cross-check their question numbers and page details before confirming their request. By centralizing the process, the CBSE aims to streamline how students address their concerns, provided they adhere strictly to the board's timeline.
